6. Affiliate marketing (Pay-per-sale, PPS)

Being an affiliate is to sell other people’s products and receive a commission on every sale. Those products can be physical or digital. ClickBank is by far the best place to find digital products. Promotions for physical products are available at Amazon or eBay. You never need to handle the nitty-gritty of a sale, but you to have a good variety of skills including:

• Picking the right product that sells,
• Writing a good sale pitch which intrigues and convinces,
• Choosing the proper keywords with high conversion rate.

A fair number of good affiliate marketers make 6 figure income per year. Some claimed 7 digits. Many lose money doing affiliate marketing. You really need to prepare yourself before jumping in. Read our cautions here. There are quite a few methods to reduce cost and improve sales, such as building list with newsletters and article marketing.

7. Create your own digital product

Once you’re experienced enough and considered an expert or guru in your niche, you can create your own digital product, such as writing an ebook, software etc. You can then get affiliate to sell the product for you. You’ll keep 50~75% of the sales. If your product can be sold for 10,000 copies, it would be $100K~500K revenue.

Well making money online is still pretty easy, opportunities abound. However if you want to make a living online, you’ll have to cultivate your skills on writing, selling and marketing.
